Portfolio #1: Leading and Dividing Lines

Leading Lines

This is a good example of leading line because the lines on the red pot, the lines of the window outlines, the lines on the window cill and the plant vines around the red pot all lead back to the red pot and the plants in it.

This is a good example of leading line because the telephone line, the lines on Charlene's sweater, and the strap of Charlene's hall pass all lead to her face.

This is a good example of leading line because the straight circuit protectors starting at the bottom of the picture, and the cords on both sides of the power box lead to the power box at the top middle of the picture.

This is a good example of leading line because the staircase railing lines, the lines around the different coloured tile, and Charlene's arms lead to Charlene's body.

This is a good example of leading line because the lines on the windows, the lines of the heater, and the shadow of the window and Charlene all lead to Charlene.

Dividing Lines

This is a good example of dividing lines because the lines of the metal holders in the vending machine dividing the picture into multiple different sized sections, plus create a pattern.

This is a good example of dividing lines because the wire in the window and the pattern of the lines covering the window all divide the picture into many different sized sections.

This is a good example of dividing lines because the different coloured cement around the bricks and the bricks themselves help to divide the picture into different sections and also creates a 3D pattern.

This is a good example of dividing lines because the lines of the yarn and the loops help to divide the picture into different sized and shaped sections.

This is a good example of dividing lines because the edges of the books, different size of each book, and the design on the spines help to divide the picture into different sized sections.
